November 1998 began our association. I, the general contractor with Mike being our consultant and advisor for this project. Mike, Sandra and I collaborated many hours on, wants, needs, ideas, budget, and time frames, which Mike reduced to drawing, specifications, plans, plants, bid sheets, and a list of potential contractors. Through November and December we designed, interviewed and selected contractors for all the phases of the landscaping. Construction began January 2, 1999. Mike was always on site. In the early stages, at least once a day and as a phase matured once every three or four days. His council, advice and knowledge proved invaluable, not just from a wealth of knowledge and ideas but also how we wanted the finished project to look so that the entire landscape became an interwoven fabric of our home. The quality of our association gave confidence to expand the project from landscaping the back yard, about an acre, to adding the front and side yards, an additional half-acre, and then to the entry and drive, an additional quarter acre. 1,300 linear feet of 4-foot high walls, 2 fountains, decking, walking paths and a tree lined drive way with entry gate, it is almost finished. We will finish by April 1, 2000.

The real question of any reference is "would we hire Michael again". The answer is a resounding yes, with one change. We would hire Mike as the general contractor and then go on a worry free vacation.
